Zul’Farrak

Rumours around the goblin trade post of Gadgetzan are rife, speaking of legendary swords, mercenaries gone missing and powerful demigods, all within the Sandfury settlement of Zul’Farrak. Many covet the treasures which lay within, but the bloodthirsty trolls do not give their prizes up easily.

Overview

Zul’Farrak is one of the first instances to bind a number of adventures together, pulling quests from nearby Thousand Needles, the Dustwallow Marsh, Feralas and Stranglethorn Vale. It also throws a considerably tougher band of mobs at your party, as well as unexpected boss fights and some very memorable battles overall. The experience is likely to be good indeed, though you may find yourself wanting to enlist magical aid just to get about to the various handins.

Quests

The Screecher Spirits chain is probably the most significant one to begin, for it spans the troll city as well as Atal’Hakkar and Blackrock Spire. Work begins on the coast, just East of Gadgetzan:

• Steamwheedle Port, Tanaris: Screecher Spirits
  Travel to Feralas in order to slay and release the dragonkin screechers around Dire Maul.
  • Steamwheedle Port, Tanaris: The Prophecy of Mosh’aru
    Gather two stone tablets from Zul’Farrak.

Horde players also have an exclusive chain of events, leading its adventurers around both continents. The chain ends up in Hinterlands, and helps to serve the Forsaken apothecary cause:

  Deliver one of the curious venom bottles to Apothecary Lydon at Tarren Mill. Ties in with Grom’Gol Base Camp’s A Grim Message.
  • Tarren Mill, Hillsbrad Foothills: Undamaged Venom Sac
    Find a pure sample for study. Ties in well with a quest from Stonard, The Atal’ai Exile; second part of Pool of Tears.
    • Tarren Mill: Consult Master Gadrin
      Report to Gadrin at Sen’Jin Village in Durotar.
      • Sen’Jin Village, Durotar: The Spider God
        Find the Tablet of Theka inside Zul’Farrak.

The more straightforward quests include:

  • Tabetha’s Farm, Dustwallow Marsh: Tiara of the Deep
    Retrieve a necklace from one of the hydromancers tending Gahz’rilla’s pool.

  Report to Tran’rek in Gadgetzan.
  • Gadgetzan: Scarab Shells
    Gather shells from the ubiquitous, non-elite scarab mobs.
• Gadgetzan: Troll Temper
  Fetch fluids from the trolls inside Zul’Farrak.
• Gagdetzan: Divine-o-Matic Rod
  Fetch this device from one of the mercenaries send into Zul’Farrak.
• Mirage Raceway, Thousand Needles: Gahz’rilla
  The instance’s main boss quest.
